Terms of use

Last updated:

These terms describe how FullySky works and what we ask of everyone who uses it. By using the site, you agree to them.

Words we use

“FullySky”, “we” and “us” mean the FullySky team, who operate this site. “You” means anyone who uses it: readers, commenters and writers. “Content” means anything published here, including pieces, images, profiles and comments.

Reading and commenting

Reading is free and needs no account. You may read, link to and quote from pieces in the usual way, with credit to the writer. Republishing a whole piece elsewhere needs the writer’s permission.

Anyone may comment using a name. Comments are reviewed, and we decide which are published. You are responsible for what you write in a comment, and you must not post anything you do not have the right to share.

Writer accounts

Writing on FullySky is by invitation; there is no public sign-up. An invitation lets you keep a blog here under these terms. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has used your account.

You are responsible for everything published on your blog, including making sure you have the right to publish the text and images you upload and that your work follows the community guidelines.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you publish. By publishing on FullySky, you give us permission to host, store, display and distribute your content as part of the service: on your blog, on topic pages and in RSS feeds. This permission exists so the site can work, and it ends when your content is removed, apart from copies that have already left the site, such as items in readers’ feed apps.

You can ask us to remove a piece, or your entire blog, at any time through the contact page.

Rules

The community guidelines form part of these terms. In short: nothing illegal, deceptive or harmful, no harassment, no impersonation and no copying other people’s work.

Moderation and removal

We may remove content, or decline to publish it, when it breaks these terms or the guidelines, or when we receive a valid complaint. We may close a blog that breaks them seriously or repeatedly. We try to act fairly and in proportion, but we are not obliged to host any particular content.

If you believe your work has been copied here without permission, use the contact page and choose Copyright, with a link to your original and to the copy.

Fair use of the service

Do not try to break, overload or get around the site’s protections, for example by flooding the comment or contact forms, probing for weaknesses, or harvesting content in bulk in a way that slows the site for others. Ordinary feed readers and search engines are welcome.

Pieces may link to other websites. We do not run those sites and are not responsible for their content. Follow outside links with the care you would use anywhere else.

The service

FullySky is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and its content safe, but we give no warranty that the site will always be available, free of errors or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, pause or discontinue features, or the whole service, at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or from content published by others. Writers are responsible for their own pieces and commenters for their own comments; publishing them here does not mean we endorse them.

Leaving

Readers can simply stop visiting; there is nothing to cancel. Writers can ask us, through the contact page, to close their blog at any time, and we will take its profile and pieces off the site. We may also end an invitation if a blog seriously breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. If you keep using the site after an update, the updated terms apply.

Questions

Questions about these terms are welcome through the contact page, the only way to reach the FullySky team.
